If travelling around December time there is also normally an ice rink in the square as well as other activities throughout the year. Amsterdam is also very famously home to the Anne Frank house. Which is where she actually hid, Nazi persecution from 1942 until she was captured along with her family and four other inhabitants in 1944.

Nightlife in Amsterdam
Nightlife in Amsterdam is nothing less than legendary. There are a lot of nightclubs and bars in every district of the city – not only the Red Light District. The most well-known (and expensive) bars in Amsterdam are of course, in the epic areas of Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein. You will also find many other awesome nightclubs located around every corner of the city. There is also a huge amount of variety within the city and its nightlife. Therefore, if you just fancy chilling with a glass of wine or partying till the sun comes up, there is something for you. One of our personal favourites is the Panama Club, which has a nightclub, concert venue, lobby, and restaurant all in one place. Meaning, you can start your evening with a delicious meal, and then let loose on the colorful dance floor whilst listening to trance, techno, urban, the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s music.
