Colorado is by far one of the more diverse states within the USA. Home to the bustling city of Denver, the famous Rocky Mountain National Park and Aspens ski resorts. There isn't a lot you can't do in Colorado. However, being such a big state with so many things to do , choosing where to stay or when to go can be hard. Here's our little guide to point you in the right direction.

Before travelling to Colorado
When visiting Colorado, whether you're looking to explore its lively and exciting cities, or to explore the outdoors. Both options are there.
Let's start with the Rocky Mountains though, often referred to as Rocky Mountain State. Is home to mesmerising white topped peaks, luxurious forestland and countless hiking or biking trails. The Rocky Mountains really is Adventure central, however also expect some stunning views and sights. If you're into your sport and adventure. What better sport to participate in then skiing and what better place to do it then Vail, Colorado. Which without a doubt is one of the best ski resorts within Colorado. With its picturesque base village, extensive ski routes and parks and mostly blue skies whilst on your visit is what has made skiing in Vail stuff of legends.
If Skiing isn't your thing, visit Colorado in the summer and enjoy some of the most extensive hiking and mountain biking routes in the world. With a countless list of national parks, beautiful sights and Mountainous adventures, you can practically visit anywhere in this state and find a lovely place to explore. However, if you want Nothing but the best. Visit Fruita, especially if you love mountain biking. As you maneuver your way alongside cliff edges and through desert terrain.


Food in Colorado
While Colorado definitely isn't known for its cuisine, it definitely has a lot to say about itself in terms of just grabbing a delicious meal.
With the Staple meat of primary food being its locally sourced Lamb. Make sure you try the lamb chops on any local menu as it's very likely it will be very fresh. Bison Burgers are also hugely popular and unique to Colorado, with herds of bison occasionally being seen roaming the plains. Locally sourced grass fed bison is also one of our personal favourites. To get that fresh and traditional taste of Colorado's cuisine. The state isn't just all about burgers and red meat either, another locally sourced product is colorado's delightful fresh fruit. Most notably its melons and Palisade Peaches. In summer, The best locally sourced fruit can be found in food stalls all across the state, However, these delightful juicy treats can also be found in supermarkets all year round.
Family activities in Colorado
If you're thinking of travelling to Colorado as a family, Loom no further than staying at Colorado Springs. With the city located at the base of the Rocky Mountains, and its many trails and parks, Colorado Springs is a popular destination for tourists. Being full of scenery, rock formations and other unique geological features, like Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods Park, The Broadmoor Seven Falls, and Cave Of The Winds Mountain Park. It's a perfect family destination as trust us no one will get bored.


Nightlife in Colorado
While we definitely wouldn't recommend travel to Colorado just for the Nightlife. However, If you're travelling out there for its many attractions like its Ski resorts. Especially around peak season the nightlife will be pretty lively and full of fun bars and nightclubs. If you're in Either Boulder or Denver, of course there are still places to go out and have a drink whether you're just looking for one or too many to go all night. Denver also has a vibrant music scene, so expect the threat of live music whilst you're out.
