Although the country is rather small, there is still so much fun to be had when visiting Ireland! The Titanic Belfast is definitely worth the visit, the monument opened in 2012 and has since told the stories of the famous RMS Titanic that tragically hit an iceberg and sank during her maiden voyage in 1912. If you would rather be spending your time exploring the great outdoors, why not head to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge? The national trust destination consists of a rope bridge that connects the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede. You will be greeted with some truly spectacular views looking over the Northern Irish sea.

There are some truly spectacular places to visit when in Northern Ireland. The country in itself is home to some breathtaking natural beauty. The Giant Causeway is a must see! The coastline is not only a Unesco World Heritage site but also a national nature reserve. The destination lies at the foot of the basalt cliffs along the seas coast off the edge of Antrim plateau, made up of 40,000 huge basalt columns poking out of the sea. The unique Giant Causeway is a result of an ancient volcanic eruption, making it not only a picturesque place to visit but also abundant in history. The Mourne Mountains are also a spectacular place to visit. The granite mountain range is located in the south-east of Northern Ireland. When visiting you will be surrounded by an area of outstanding natural beauty, from picturesque landscapes to beautiful beaches, you will not be disappointed. 

Food in Northern Ireland

The food in Northern Ireland is superb. We would highly recommend trying some traditional Northern Irish dishes when visiting the country. Irish Stew is a traditional folk stew, made from locally sourced fresh ingredients including potatoes, onions,  lamb meat, root vegetables, turnips and parsnips. This is the perfect dish to warm you up after a long day of exploring Northern Ireland and all its natural beauty. Another must try when visiting the country is a traditional pasty. Typically made from ground pork or beef, potatoes, onions and other seasonings the deep-fried battered pastie is definitely worth trying! 

Nightlife in Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland's nightlife is excellent. Whether you were looking for a traditional small pub, a scenic rooftop bar or even some outstanding nightclubs. You will definitely not be disappointed!
