Zante

Scenery & Beaches

​

On the northwest coast of Zante you will be greeted with stepp white cliffs finished with green tree tops. The beaches are mostly filled with white pebbles, and magical crystal clear turquoise waters. The north side of the island is very rural with villas being the main type of accommodation around. Towards the islands south side, you will find beautifully golden beaches with the same magical waters.

 

The south of the island is far more lively, offering some of the best nightlife in Greece. Zante has everything to offer. Gerakas beach is the south most beach on the island. Not only does the golden sand make the beach a beautiful place, it's a protected nesting site for loggerhead turtles. If you go visit the beach at the right time you might even be lucky enough to see a turtle hatch! A personal recommendation would be to visit Marathia beach, located 25 km west of Zakynthos town. The beach is secluded, tourist free beach where you will be able to enjoy total relaxation with superb views.

The island truly has something for everyone, whether you're a family looking for your next holiday destination or just simply looking for a good time, Zante is the perfect place for you! Shipwreck beach, also known as Navagio beach, is the most famous beach in Zante. Located on the northernmost side of the island ,you will discover the Blue caves that are perfect for snorkeling. The sun is reflected off the water through the caves making them a must see! There's plenty of exploring to be done in and around Zante. Why not visit one of Zantes three different waterparks! Perfect for spending the day in the sunshine whilst also having a great deal of fun! If you wanted a bit more of an adrenaline rush, why not flyboarding! You will fly high in the sky whilst taking in the breathtaking views that zante has to offer. Fancy something a bit more relaxing, why not enjoy an evening watching a movie in one of Zantes open-air cinemas. 

Nightlife

Over recent years, Zante, in particular Laganas, has become a very popular destination for the young generation, looking for a wild few weeks away with their mates. In and around the area of Laganas, located on the southern side of Zante, you will find a countless number of clubs and bars within the famous Laganas Strip. Zante is well known for its boat parties, sailing around the beautiful island whilst admiring the breath taking views and boozin till your heart's content. Who doesn't love a booze and cruise trip?

Food

As zante is one of the most popular and more developed greek islands, meaning that you won’t be short on choice! There are so many amazing places for you to dine and drink at. From locally run taverns, to luxurious restaurants and scenic wineries. The options are limitless. One of our personal recommendations would be to visit Taverna Sunset, in Keri. The taverna offers panoramic views from its terrace overlooking the beautiful sun setting over the cliffs of zante. It's a truly unforgettable place to dine at.
